Day 1 :

Arrival Manali

On Arrival Pick and Hotel Transfers, followed by checking your gears, allocations of bikes and meet the team session. Enjoys the day and gear up for upcoming exciting adventure cycling tour to Spiti Valley.

Day 2 :

Manali to Marhi (50km)

The journey starts from the smooth roads of Manali. We take a series of hairpin bends to leave the Pine and Deodar forests surrounding Manali, cycle through the villages of Palchan, Kothi and Gulaba to reach the alpine meadows at Marhi - the base of the Rohtang Pass .

Day 3 :

Marhi to Chota Dara (50km)

We start the day with a steep climb to the top of Rohtang Pass at nearly 4000m. The descent from the pass is the beginning of the mix of metalled and unmetalled roads that we go on for the rest of the trip. The road forks at Gramphu, one goes to Leh and the other leads to Spiti. We follow the Chandra river here on to reach the camping grounds at Chatru.

Day 4 :

Chota Dara - Chandratal (43km)

We continue to ride along the Chandra river and pass numerous nallas on the way, including the infamous Pagal Nalla. The road today offers expansive views of the Chandrabhaga mountain range as we make our way to Batal. We leave the highway at Batal and start the journey to Chandratal. The lakes emerald waters are surrounded by gravelly mountains. On a still day, view the reflection of the surrounding mountains on its clear waters. Camping at the lake is not allowed. We camp a few kilometres away and spend the evening at the lake.

Day 5 :

Chandertaal to Losar (40km)

This entire stretch is a badly broken and narrow dirt road filled with numerous water crossings, loose stones, gravel, mud, and slush so ride carefully as half of todays journey will be a downhill.We will pass incredible rock formations and dramatic sandstone scenery after crossing the Kunzum La (4,551m) and reaching the 1st village of Spiti Valley -Losar will camp here for the night.

Day 6 :

Losar – Hansa - Kaza (60km)

Mixed riding Uphill,Flat and Downhill but it will be amazing view upon enter the magnificent Spiti Valley in the fading hours to witness the golden mountains of Spiti.
Our Cycle Tour ends at Kaza- District HQ of Spiti Valley with loads of memories.

Day 7 :

Full Day Kaza Local Sightseeing via SUV

Full Day Kaza Local Excursion Covering Ki,Kibber,Langza,Komic,Hikkim,Chicham on SUV.

Day 8 :

Kaza to Manali

The adventure reach its extremity as we head back to Manali by SUV 08-10 Hours of Drive.

Tour Ends at Manali Common Point with Loads of Memories.

How fit do I need to be to do this spiti valley cycle tour?

Annapurna Base Camp is a Grade B or a moderately difficult trekking route. So any fit person can do this trek, even if you do not have any previous experience. You should be aware of what to expect and mentally prepare for it. Then, as long as you will too, you can.

How long do we ride every day when cycling to Spiti valley?

On average, you walk about 4 to 6 hours per day. One or two days can be as less as 3hrs and one or two days can be as long as 7hrs.

What is the highest altitude reached in this cycle tour?

The highest altitude reached is 4190m. This is the elevation of Annapurna Base Camp. ABC is the highest we will climb in this trek.

What about rented cycle specification?

Yes, you can charge batteries en route. Charger should be brought. There are hot shower facilities as well. You may have to pay a certain amount for both ($1-$2). Negotiate. Also, a hot water facility could be free at a lower elevation.

What about Accomodation , Food and back up Vehicle?

No. There are no ATMs on this trek route. You will have to draw enough cash in Pokhara or Kathmandu. There are a number of ATMs in these cities. Everything is paid in Nepali rupees. So money should be exchanged before the start of the trek.

What about internet access?

Yes. The Internet can be accessed in most places. Sometimes, there might be some technical problems. The Internet in Nepal is not as fast as you are used to and at times you can just lose connection.

Is it necessary to hire Guides/trekking agency for spiti Valley Cycle Tour?

Not really. It depends on you. If you want, ABC trekking can be done independently. You could hire a guide and a porter by yourself instead of going through an agency or not hire a guide at all. Although, not having a guide can be a little problematic during the offseason.

It really depends on you. Is it your first time in Nepal? How confident are you of being able to find your way around? How pressed on time are you? If you go through an agency, it will be costlier but everything will be planned. You will only have to come, trek and return.

What is the road condition of spiti valley?

For the Annapurna region, pay for guides range from $20 to $30 per day and porters take $15 to $25 per day.
